The Day After Blizzard '06 & Other Adventures in Central Park!

For those of you who were here last year, this is where we had our picnic. That's Belvedere Castle overlooking Turtle Pond. For those of you who weren't.. erm take our word for it.. we sat somewhere in the middle of the foreground and it was sunny, hot, green and grass covered.

Somewhere under all that snow is Great Lawn.. where in the summer New Yorkers play baseball, run around and talk very loudly.

It's that 4 deg C rule I learnt in Secondary school science! The water density drops when it approaches 4 deg C, and this "heavier" water sinks to the bottom. So only the top part freezes! Fish can still swim! But poor turtles probably have to hibernate or something...

Alfie: I hope they go to Chinatown FOR dinner, not to BECOME dinner...
